Michael’s passion for filmmaking took root at a very young age, studying Film Production in Boulder, Colorado.  Michael won the 2008 Emerging Cinematographer’s Award from the International Cinematographer’s Guild for a short film titled “Noisemaker.” He has filmed as primary cinematographer on multiple narrative films and documentaries.  Most recently he was in the backcountry of Utah lensing Scott Waugh's latest feature film, "6 Below," starring Josh Hartnett and Mira Sorvino.  Michael has also collaborated as 2nd Unit Director of Photography on "Keeping Up with the Joneses," "Fathers and Daughters," "Need For Speed" and "Deadfall."

He has had the pleasure of working with the industry's most talented directors on memorable commercials with clients such as Toyota, Chrysler, Fiat, Jeep, Mtn Dew, Asics, Burger King, Porsche, Ducati, Nissan, Gatorade, Marines and The Grammys.

His western sensibility makes Michael a great collaborator who knows how to be patient for just the right amount of time, to capture that perfect shot.
